Set on the edge of the picturesque village of Ashford in the Water, Stable Barn is a cosy and welcoming cottage. It is an ideal base for walkers and is a 5 minute walk from the famous Monsal Trail. There are 2 pubs, a cafe and a restaurant in the village as well as a fantastic village shop.

Stable Barn is at the same location as Granary Barn and The Tack Room and can sleep up to 11 when booked together.

Downstairs

There is a large open plan kitchen/dining area that is big enough to seat 9 when booked together with Granary Barn. In the sitting room is a log burning stove and a smart TV/DVD player. On this floor there is a single bedroom with ensuite toilet and shower cubicle.

Upstairs

There is one double bedroom with exposed original beams and en-suite toilet and shower over the bath. There is a twin bedroom also with original exposed beams. A bathroom with toilet and shower over the bath. All bed linen and towels are provided for you.

Outside

We have ample parking and a paved patio area with garden furniture. We provide a basket of firewood should you need to use the fire. As with all our properties, there are delightful walks from the door.

  • Ashford in the Water is a pretty and popular Derbyshire village, located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Sitting on the banks of the River Wye, three bridges cross this free flowing river making it an idyllic waterside setting. The village pub is welcoming and popular among locals, while you will find almost everything you need for your stay in the village shop. Walkers will enjoy setting out on the Monsal Trail, while the riverside cricket ground offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the game.
